Paula Carreno
Paula Carreño is a Queer Colombian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist. Her studies include Colombian folklore and Latin-American percussion and dance, acting at the Charlot Academy in Bacatá, performing arts and acting for film at Sheridan, Humber College and Second City in Toronto, classical and cultural dance with companies such as Dance Connexion and Ritmo Flamenco, psychology and health at the Health Coach Institute and healing arts from an autodidactic approach. She has toured Ontario as a dancer, produced and choreographed shows within the Latinx community and performed in both seasons of the Toronto Vox Novus 60X60 dance by Viv Moore and Tova Kardonne. Her latest theatre performance piece “The Mente” was a self written piece performed for the stages of Caminos by Aluna Theatre, 2019. Since then, she has worked commercially for television, web, and as a voice over actor. Paula is also a Psychomagic practitioner and coach. With her work, she aims to show and teach the healing power of intention and the arts. Paula thanks the guardians of Turtle Island, her family, ancestors, and the energy force.
