Three women are imprisoned for different reasons: murder, kidnapping and drugs. They live hopelessly and decide to plan their escape, but a dilemma is born when they realize that only two of them can. We are, what we are. takes an unexpected turn when the women become entangled in their own personal tragedies.

About the artist
Leticia Torrejon: Born in Paraguay her passion for acting make her study theatre at a young age, emigrating to Canada 19 years ago where also joined different theatre plays such as Hamelin, Crossroad, and Passion Play, among others. Mother of four, writer and business owner. She loves to spend time with her family specially with her grand daughter, go for walks, do Zumba, and listening to music. A good book has to be part her day, as words are part of the magic of life. Try to live life to the fullest as her favourite quote, “In the end we only regret the chances we did not take.”
Artist/Singer/Songwriter Carla Gonzalez-Casanova was born in Venezuela but left her roots at a very early age to travel with her family across the globe. Music and arts have always been an integral part of her life, from an early age she decided to study singing in different genres from ballads to rock and chanting. A multi-talented artist, Carla was born with a beautiful voice and a love for writing, creating art and acting. This inspired her to make arts in general her life’s greatest journeys. She is constantly performing all across the GTA.
Sandra Cardenas: Photography has been a great passion in my life. My photographs allow me to tell stories, capturing emotions, feelings and special people’s moments. A photograph contrasts the eternal state of nature and the art of freezing the transitory time of the human being. Vicky Chiappari: Is a mom of two wonderful daughters: Celeste and Sol, they are the driving force of her life. She is also an actress, social communicator and producer. Born in Argentina, just outside Buenos Aires, in a small town where the trees, the river and the sun taught her to love nature and appreciate the freedom that surrounds us all. It’s similar to what she feel when she’s on stage. Now living in Canada, Vicky had the opportunity to be part of many plays across the GTA with CLET (Canadian Latino Experimental Theatre), and her story continues.
Alexandra Montealegre: Teacher, director, librettist and theater producer. CLET Artistic Director (Canadian Latino Experimental Theater). Her love and passion for performing arts makes her a workaholic. In her spare time, she likes to enjoy life with her partner, her children, and her friends as well as being in nature, yoga, audio books, music, a cold beer and of course art. Her motto is, “Let creativity be the bread of my days, the child’s eyes the light of my soul and may the curtain open”
Doris Hincapie: Is a fabric made of new and recycled dreams, psychologist, Colombian with a zest for life, sensitive, witty, traveler of life, love for family, friends, Turkish food and a Turkish man, literature, jazz, good conversation, peace, joy and art in its most beautiful expression.
Rossy Cervantes: Mexican singer and songwriter. She is singing Latin-America´songs and her own music. Rosy creates the Band La Sana Rabia in 2002. She has performed in National and International Festivals in Mexico and Canada. She founded the project Singing For Love. She represented Mexico at the Encuentro de la Identidad y la Diversidad Cultural at Medellín, Colombia 2018. Rosy believes in social justice and positive integration as immigrants
