Universo de textos: pt. 1-6 is an ongoing solo work which consists of a compilation of different personal texts organized into movement and a structure. It is my reflection on the different journeys I have gone through to accept the dualities/intersectionalities in my identity. This piece begins with uncertainty and lack of awareness of my own self, and aims to end with more clarity and personal agency. This voyage into self-acceptance involves a deep, psychological analysis of family issues, sexuality, love, childhood trauma, and mental health. These themes stem from a wider picture such as the societal and political issues of my native country México, and how I personally navigate these in different Lands.Universo de textos: pt. 1-6 is a continuous awareness of my past: How does my perspective of my past change through time and space? How has immigrating to Canada changed my perspective of my past in Mexico? Has my meaning of Land changed since immigrating to Canada? What parts of my native country have I taken into Canada and carried within me? Which did I have to leave behind and why?
