Alba and Evan think they’re getting the picture perfect Colombian wedding but when the groom is swapped with an evil twin by a long lost sister bent on revenge, the special day falls into chaos testing the family’s strength. Full of humor and heart; “One Perfect Day | Un día perfecto” is a joyous and mischievous marriage between Colombian wedding traditions, the telenovela genre, and the ceremony of attending the theatre.
“When Margarita started to play with the ideas of this piece, we were in the middle of the pandemic. I suggested she presented something for the 2021 CAMINOS Digital Festival, then, she released her “TikTok Telenovela” adaptation of the play, it was hilarious. Margarita is an artist that is working hard writing for theatre and film and producing both. Teaming with Marilo Nuñez is the best combination for this project. They both understand comedy and how to infuse that comedy with politics. I can’t wait to see what they will be doing at CAMINOS.” – Beatriz Pizano
