Community Meal

Free and open to all, our community meal is a time to gather and take a break from the busy festival schedule together. We’ll be welcoming Casa Maíz’s Semillas Latinas youth group to the meal, who will also be sharing a presentation of their work.

Semillas Latinas is an interdisciplinary initiative that supports the development of Latin American identity in the children aged 6 to 12 years old. The program helps them build  necessary tools in order to be important contributors to Canadian society. During yearly camps, youth are offered art workshops in dance, percussion, guitar, theatre and visual arts.
