Ep. 14: MERENDIANDO Live with Grupo Teatro Libre
October 23, 2019
Welcome to first LIVE episode of Merendiando! This year we had the opportunity to be part of the CAMINOS Festival – every night before the evening’s shows, we hosted an interview in front of a live audience.
In this live episode, Monica and Camila shared a merienda with some of the members of Grupo Teatro Libre. Founded in 2008, Grupo Teatro Libre creates collective community theatre in Spanish, representing original creations and Latin American playwrights in their original language, while always promoting solidarity and respect for human rights. We talked about how the group started and how has being part of it has shaped their lives as well of where do they see it going in the next 10 years. Grab a snack and let’s get started!
Be sure to check out the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration at Wychwood Barns this Saturday October 26th for community performances, altars, and traditional food.
Muchas gracias a Dulcinella Bakery and McAuslan Brewery for sponsoring our live merendiandas!
